Maibritt is launching
a call for donations.
Over 200,000 "2WeltenKinder" need support.
Maibritt is calling for more funding and support for the more than 160,000 single parents living in Austria – because it is unacceptable that our country forgets about children from single-parent households.
Maibritt, "The Voice from Marchfeld", who founded the "2WeltenKinder" aid organization as the youngest chairwoman in our country, is constantly pushing her limits: "I never thought it would be so difficult to help others".
More and more single parents are falling into the poverty trap. More than a third of the children and young people affected in Austria cannot afford new clothes, necessary doctor's visits or treatments that have to be paid for themselves, let alone hobbies and other leisure activities. Unforeseen expenses are often almost impossible for these families to cope with.
Maibritt is a fighter and firmly believes in her theory: "We have almost 9 million inhabitants." If every Austrian who earns something would donate just one euro, I could achieve a lot and help many people quickly," says Maibritt.
She wants to use her growing popularity to raise awareness and to point out important issues in a very pragmatic way, such as the protection of children in ongoing court proceedings, the shortening of maintenance proceedings, the problem of visiting contacts, constructive dialogue with authorities and much more. When asked why she knows all this so well, Maibritt replied: "I know because I am one of them, a 2world child".
Maibritt has now found another supporter in the form of the Global Family aid organization. We are now working together, because Global Family stands for the unattainable dreams of families on or below the poverty line, such as a holiday.
Maibritt will soon be singing again in aid of her charity project and is looking forward to donations.

At the end of 2023, the association transferred 1,000 euros of the donations to Licht ins Dunkel.
